The soccer girls split in week two, getting a win at Circle, fall to good Andover Central team.

The Mulvane High School girls soccer team had two games in week 2 of their 2023-24 season and the girls were on the road last Tuesday at Circle. The Cats and the Thunderbirds both scored a goal in the first half, with Kierra Cain finding the net for the Wildcats. In the second half, the Cats were able to grab the 2-1 win with a goal from Mackenzie Christian and an assist from Jade Smallwood. Madison Shaw guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 7 saves with 8 shots on goal. The JV girls fell to the Thunderbirds 0-2.

On Thursday, the Wildcats hosted the very good 5A Andover Central team. The girls had a great game against the Jaguars (who have not allowed a goal all season) but fell 0-3. Goalkeeper Madison Shaw did a great job in the net as she finished with 9 saves with 12 shots on goal. The varsity girls move to 2-2 on the season and 1-1 in AVCTL league play. The JV girls fell to the Jaguars 0-3 as well and are sitting at 0-3-1 on the season.
