The Mulvane Middle School Track & Field team traveled to Clearwater for the Clearwater Invitational on Tuesday, April 16th, and the Wildcats came home with 6 first-place finishes, 4 second-place finishes, and 4 third-place finishes. Tavion Richardson finished on top in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.92. Kaitlyn Paul finished in 1st place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:47.21. Kaitlyn Paul finished in 1st place in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:45.51. Haylynn Jones finished in 1st place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.55, breaking her own school record she set last week. Haylynn Jones finished in 1st place in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 30.84. Brittani Peschel, Peyton Bartel, Emily Franklin, and Haylynn Jones finished on top in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:46.52.
Robbie Rico grabbed the silver in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11:56.28. Tavion Richardson finished in 2nd place in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 27.96. Brock Garnica finished in 2nd place in the shot put with a distance of 40-4. Peyton Fenn finished in 2nd place in the discus with a distance of 83-10.
Tavion Richardson grabbed the bronze in the long jump with a distance of 17-2. Brittani Peschel grabbed the bronze in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.25. Keileigh Burke grabbed the bronze in the high jump with a height of 4-4. Rori Turner, Claire Ramos, Aubree Jantz, and Sophia Comer finished in 3rd place in the 800-meter medley with a time of 2:19.73.
