The MMS vball girls closed out their season at the Patriot League tournament. 8th girls champs & 7th girls runner up.

The Mulvane Middle School volleyball teams closed out their 2023 season last Saturday at the Patriot League tournaments. The 8th graders traveled to Clearwater and the 7th grade girls traveled to Winfield.

The 8th graders started the tournament in pool play against Ark City and defeated them 2-0 with scores of 25-23 and 25-18. The Cats faced the Rose Hill Rockets 2-0 with scores of 25-21 and 25-17. The Wildcats faced Clearwater next in bracket play and defeated the Indians 2-1 with scores of 25-14, 24-26, and 15-6. The girls faced Rose Hill again in the championship match and won 2-0 with scores of 25-9 and 25-20. The girls were Patriot League tournament champions last year as 7th graders as well.

The 8th-grade girls finished the season with a record of 13-2 and 5-2 in league play. The 8B girls finished their season undefeated with a record of 11-0 and 7-0 in league play.

The 7th graders started the tournament in pool play against Ark City and defeated them 2-0 with scores of 25-15 and 25-11. The Cats faced the Rose Hill Rockets 2-0 with scores of 25-19 and 25-19. The Wildcats faced Clearwater next in bracket play and defeated the Indians 2-1 with scores of 25-19, 23-25, and 15-9. The girls faced Wellington again in the championship match and fell 0-2 with scores of 23-25 and 16-25 to take 2nd place in the tournament. 

The 7th-grade girls finished the season with a record of 10-5 and 5-2 in league play. The 7B girls finished their season with a record of 6-5 and 4-3 in league play.
