The Mulvane baseball team goes 3-1 on the week with a split with Collegiate and a sweep of Augusta.

The Mulvane High School baseball team had two doubleheaders this week, traveling to Collegiate on Monday and hosting Augusta on Thursday. The Wildcats went 3-1 on the week with a sweep over Augusta and split with the Spartans.
In game 1 against Collegiate, the Wildcats fell 3-8. Manny Myers got the start for the Wildcats. He tossed 4 and 1/3 innings, giving up 5 runs, 7 hits, walking 3, and 2 strikeouts. Lucas Sorensen also pitched for the Wildcats. He tossed 1 and 2/3 innings, giving up 3 runs, 4 hits, walking 1, and 0 strikeouts.
Mulvane as a team had 4 hits in the game. Reed Hackleman went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits. Lucas Sorensen and Garrett Olson also had hits in the game for the Cats. Garrett Olson had 1 home run in the game.
Mulvane grabbed 3 RBIs in the game, all by Garrett Olson who knocked in 3 runners to lead Mulvane in RBIs.

In game 2, the Wildcats jumped out ahead in the first inning and didn't look back and got the 10-0 win. Parker Clubb earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed 3 and 1/3 innings, giving up 0 runs, 1 hit, walking 1, and 4 strikeouts. Grey Sanders also pitched for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed 1 and 2/3 innings, giving up 0 runs, 0 hits, walking 0, and 4 strikeouts.
The Wildcats as a team had a great game at the plate and finished with 11 hits. Hays Ensley went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits. Manny Myers, Parker Clubb, Brady Nelson, Lucas Sorensen, Grey Sanders, and Reed Hackleman each collected hits in the game for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats finished with 9 RBIs in the game. Hays Ensley, Lucas Sorensen, and Reed Hackleman all had 2 RBIs to lead the Mulvane Wildcats. Parker Clubb, Grey Sanders, and Nolan Fevurly also collected RBIs for the Wildcats.

On Thursday, the Wildcats hosted Augusta and in game 1, the Cats scored quickly with 5 runs in the first inning. They finished strong and got the 15-5 run rule win.
Parker Clubb earned the win for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed 2 and 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run, 1 hit, walking 1, and 5 strikeouts. Nolan Fevurly got the start for the Cats. He tossed 3 and 1/3 innings, giving up 4 runs, 2 hits, walking 3, and 5 strikeouts.
The Wildcats as a team finished with 12 hits in the game. Reed Hackleman and Nolan Fevurly both had 4 hits to lead Mulvane. Grey Sanders, Hays Ensley, Parker Clubb, and Brayden Tatum each finished with hits in the game for Mulvane.

The JV boys swept Augusta as well 6-1 and 9-1, but didn't have any games at Collegiate, and remain undefeated on the year at 9-0. The varsity boys are sitting at 8-3 overall and 4-1 in league play. The Wildcats will be back in action on Monday, April 15th at home against Clearwater.
