The Mulvane High School softball team had one doubleheader this past week as they hosted their first home games against Buhler. The Wildcats jumped out ahead in the first inning and the Cats were able to maintain the lead until the 7th inning when Buhler was able to get 4 runners across the plate and get the 7-6 win. Addison Mackey was in the pitcher's circle for the Wildcats. She tossed 7 innings, giving up 7 runs, 6 hits, walking 5, and 4 strikeouts.
Makaylen Warner went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in hits. Jaryn Baker, Madison Phipps, Addison Mackey, and Regan Witt also had hits in the game for the Mulvane Wildcats.
The Mulvane Wildcats collected 5 RBIs in the game. Regan Witt knocked in 2 runners to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in RBIs. Madison Phipps, Gracyn Crow, and Avrie Warner each also had RBIs for the Mulvane Wildcats.

In game 2, the Wildcats were unable to garner any hits as they fell 1-12 to the Crusaders. Sophie Bruce pitched for the Mulvane Wildcats and she tossed 6 innings, giving up 12 runs, 7 hits, walking 6, and 1 strikeout. Blake Ferraro scored the only run for the Wildcats after getting on base from a walk.

The varsity team is sitting at 3-4 on the season and 1-2 in league play. Wildcats will be back on the field on Monday, April 1st as they host a doubleheader against El Dorado.
