MMS - Coed Soccer / March 26, 2024 By Kasey McDowell
The Mulvane Middle School coed soccer team kicked off their inaugural season last week as they hosted Haysville West on Monday and traveled to Haysville for a match with Haysville Middle School on Tuesday. The Wildcats team, which is composed of 7th and 8th-grade boys and girls, are coached by Dylan LaRue and Katie Lorik. The A game ended in a 1-1 tie with Haysville West with a goal by Greyson Boyd that came from a beautiful corner kick from Elsa Kolbe. Eli Boyd guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 5 saves with 6 shots on goal. The B game was a defensive battle that ended in a 0-0 tie. Parker Slayton guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 3 saves with 3 shots on goal.

The Wildcats were on the road for game two at Haysville on Tuesday and the Wildcats offense was in full force as they dropped in 3 goals in the first half and 2 goals in the second half for the 5-0 win. Elsa Kolbe and Greyson Boyd led the Cats with 2 goals and 1 assist each. Taydin Walker also found the net in the game and Lucas Bise had an assist for the Wildcats as well. Eli Boyd guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 3 saves with 3 shots on goal. In the B game, the Wildcats took control in the first half with 2 goals, 1 by James Blauser and 1 by Lucas Bise. Blauser also had an assist and Bentley Button had an assist in the game. Parker Slayton guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 1 save with 1 shot on goal.
