The Mulvane baseball team had a very busy week with 5 games and celebrated senior night.

It was a very busy week for the Mulvane baseball team as they hosted McPherson for a doubleheader (Sr Night), had one non-league game at Andover Central, and traveled to Chanute for a couple of pick-up games against Chanute and Ottawa. 

The Cats hosted McPherson last Monday for a chance or a share of the AVCTL D3 league title. The Cats in game 1 couldn't get any runs across the plate as they fell 0-3. Parker Clubb had the start for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed 5 and 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run, 4 hits, walking 3, and 10 strikeouts. Nolan Fevurly also pitched for the Mulvane Wildcats. He tossed 1 and 1/3 innings, giving up 2 runs, 1 hit, walking 1, and 2 strikeouts.

Mulvane as a team had 4 hits in the game. Nolan Fevurly went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits. Hays Ensley, and Garrett Olson each had hits in the game for the Mulvane Wildcats. Manny Myers had the only stolen base in the game for the Cats.

After the first game, the Wildcats celebrated the 5 seniors on the team: Brayden Tatum, Garrett Olson, Lucas Sorensen, Gavin Wayman, and manager Justice Blake.

In game 2, MAC had the Wildcats number as they won 10-1. Grey Sanders had the start for the Cats. He tossed 5 and 1/3 innings, giving up 5 runs, 5 hits, walking 5, and 6 strikeouts. Lucas Sorensen also pitched for the Cats. He tossed 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run, 0 hits, walking 0, and 1 strikeout. Gavin Wayman also pitched for the Cats. He tossed 2 innings, giving up 4 runs, 2 hits, walking 2, and 0 strikeouts.

Mulvane as a team finished with 5 hits in the game. Manny Myers went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Mulvane in hits. Parker Clubb, Nolan Fevurly, and Reed Hackleman each finished with hits in the game for the Cats. Brayden Tatum recorded the only RBI for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats traveled to Andover Central on Wednesday for a single game against the Jaguars (a make-up game from earlier in the season). The Cats were up by 5 runs until the Jaguars mounted a comeback in the 5th and 6th innings, forcing extra innings and the Cats fell 6-7 in the 9th. 

Nolan Fevurly had the start for the Cats. He tossed 4 and 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run, 5 hits, walking 2, and 4 strikeouts. Lucas Sorensen also pitched for the Cats. He tossed 2/3 innings, giving up 3 runs, 3 hits, walking 1, and 0 strikeouts. Grady Myers also pitched for the Cats. He tossed 1 and 2/3 innings, giving up 1 run, 3 hits, walking 0, and 2 strikeouts. Manny Myers also pitched for the Cats. He tossed 1 and 1/3 innings, giving up 2 runs, 3 hits, walking 0, and 1 strikeout.

The Wildcats as a team finished with 11 hits in the game. Parker Clubb, Hays Ensley, and Reed Hackleman all had 2 hits to lead the Mulvane Wildcats. Grey Sanders, Lucas Sorensen, Garrett Olson, Brayden Tatum, and Manny Myers each finished with hits in the game for the Cats.

The Wildcats grabbed 5 RBIs in the game. Garrett Olson knocked in 2 runners to lead the Mulvane Wildcats in RBIs. Grey Sanders, Parker Clubb, and Nolan Fevurly all had RBIs for the Wildcats as well.

The Cats made the long trip to Chanute on Saturday for a couple of pick-up games. In game 1, the Cats faced Chanute and despite outhitting the Comets, the Cats were only able to score 1 run as they fell 1-3.

Grey Sanders got the start for the Wildcats. He tossed 5 and 2/3 innings, giving up 3 runs, 4 hits, walking 4, and 7 strikeouts. Brody Clasen also pitched for the Wildcats. He tossed 1/3 innings, giving up 0 runs, 1 hit, walking 1, and 0 strikeouts.

The Wildcats as a team finished with 8 hits in the game. Reed Hackleman went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Wildcats in hits. Manny Myers, Parker Clubb, Nolan Fevurly, and Brayden Tatum each finished with hits in the game for the Mulvane Wildcats. Reed Hackleman recorded the only RBI for the Mulvane Wildcats.

Game two on Saturday was against Ottawa. The Wildcats had the lead for most of the game but Ottawa was able to score 5 runs in the last two innings for the 5-4 win. Parker Clubb got the start for the Wildcats. He tossed 2 innings, giving up 0 runs, 3 hits, walking 0, and 1 strikeout. Manny Myers also pitched for the Wildcats. He tossed 2 innings, giving up 0 runs, 2 hits, walking 1, and 2 strikeouts. Grady Myers got some mound time as well for the Wildcats. He tossed 2 innings, giving up 5 runs, 6 hits, walking 3, and 0 strikeouts.

Mulvane as a team finished with 4 hits in the game. Lucas Sorensen, Brady Nelson, Manny Myers, and Brayden Tatum all had 1 hit each for the Cats. Mulvane grabbed 4 RBIs in the game. Brady Nelson, Brayden Tatum, Hays Ensley, and Parker Clubb each had 1 RBI for the Cats.
