The Mulvane girls varsity soccer team participated in the Wichita North tournament this past week. The Cats had to face three tough 6A schools in the tournament starting with Wichita Heights. This game was an exciting one between the two teams that ended in a 2-2 tie in regulation and went into overtime. The teams went to a penalty kick shootout where both teams made 4 of the 5 shots and then went to a sudden death shootout. The Cats ended up falling with a final score of 2-3. The Wildcats were led by Jade Smallwood who finished with 2 goals and Makenzie Rogers finished with 1 assist. Madison Shaw guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 9 saves with 12 shots on goal.

The Wildcats next game was against Wichita East. The Cats struggled against the Blue Aces and fell 0-8. Madison Shaw guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 14 saves with 22 shots on goal.

The final game for the Cats was against Wichita North and the Cats fell 0-5 to the Redhawks. Madison Shaw guarded the Wildcat's net and finished the game with 17 saves with 22 shots on goal.
