The Mulvane Middle School closed out their 2023-24 season last Tuesday, October 10th at the Patriot League Meet at Prairie Hills. The Wildcats finished the meet with 10 medalists, two 2nd-place team finishes, a 3rd-place finish, and a 5th-place finish. The 8th grade boys finished in 5th-place as a team and were led by medalist Robbie Rico who finished in 5th-place with a time of 13:27.70 in the 2-mile run.
The 8th-grade girls finished in 2nd-place as a team and were led by medalists Kaitlyn Paul who finished in 3rd-place with a time of 14:16.20 in the 2-mile run, followed by Peyton Bartel in 5th-place with a time of 14:45.50, Emily Franklin in 7th-place with a time of 15:51.90, Penelope Abrams in 9th-place with a time of 16:35.21, and Gloria Westhoff in 10th-place with a time of 17:17.80.
The 7th-grade boys finished in 2nd-place as a team and were led by medalists Taydin Walker who grabbed the gold in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:48.00 and James Blauser who finished in 3rd-place with a time of 6:13.60. The 7th-grade girls finished in 3rd-place as a team and were led by medalists Eloise Baerg who finished in 2nd-place in the 1-mile run with a time of 6:50.70 and Johanna Hutchinson who finished in 9th-place with a time of 7:17.80.
