MHS - Women's Soccer / April 13, 2022 By Kasey McDowell

The Mulvane women's soccer team faced some strong winds again this past Tuesday at Collegiate as they faced the Spartans in an AVCTL league matchup. The Cats had the wind to their back in the first half and senior Emma Kolbe found the back of the net twice and the Cats went into halftime up 2-0. Kolbe would add 2 more goals in the second half as the Cats won 4-0. Junior Karlie Kanaga provided 2 assists in the game. Rylie Schiffelbein guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 5 saves with 5 shots on goal.

"In the varsity match, Emma Kolbe had goals assisted by Karlie Kanaga. However, the real story of the night was teamwork all night long," said Coach Myers. "Teagan Garrison and Kamryn Nolan had huge nights as center back, Emma Hoffman had amazing sends to spring scoring attacks, and both Kasey Dillon and Grace Malanchuk stepped up huge to fill in at midfield. Top to bottom, the women played an amazing match to help Rylie Schiffelbein notch another clean sheet and the Wildcats secure a victory-together!" said Coach Myers.
