The Mulvane women's soccer team has been hitting the practice field for a few weeks and the first game is rapidly approaching. The girls are coming off the best season in the program's history last year as they finished with a 15-5 record, were the regional champs, made it to state, and finished 2nd in the 4A state tournament. The Wildcats had 7 players and coach Myers earn all-league honors and 5 of the girls are returning this season, including all-state senior midfielder Emma Kolbe and all-state junior forward Karlie Kanaga, and all-state goalkeeper Rylie Schiffelbein. Kolbe led the team in goals last year with 37 and assists with 18. Kanaga was right there as well with 31 goals and 15 assists. Junior all-league forward Emma Hoffman also found the net many times for the Cats with 21 goals and had 10 assists.

Senior all-league defender Kamryn Nolan and all-state junior goalkeeper Rylie Schiffelbein will be leading the Wildcats on the defensive side, hoping to best their defensive effort from last year as they allowed only 43 goals on the season (2.2 per game) and had 6 shutouts last year. Rylie finished the year with an 81.7 save percentage and 192 saves.

The Wildcats have 6 seniors, 6 juniors, 10 sophomores, and 5 freshmen this year.  "I expect us to work hard, learn from mistakes and successes, and stay together," said Coach Jesse Myers who is starting his 3rd year as the girl's coach. "I believe we should be in every game we have on our schedule. I feel like we have multiple weapons in regards to attacking and goal-scoring"
