The Kansas High School Women's Soccer All-State lists have come out from the media publications and several Wildcats received All-State recognition.

Junior midfielder Emma Kolbe earned All-State 1st team honors from the Wichita Eagle and Sports in Kansas (kansas-sports.com). Emma also earned All-Metro 2nd team honors from the Wichita Eagle. Emma finished the 2021 season with several school records including goals in a season with 37, goals in a game with 7, assists in a game with 4, assists in a season with 18, career goals with 60, and career assists with 31. Emma with the other returning forwards will be a force for Mulvane next year.

Sophomore forward Karlie Kanaga earned All-State 1st team honors from the Wichita Eagle and Sports in Kansas. Karlie also earned All-Metro 2nd team honors from the Wichita Eagle. Karlie finished the 2021 season with 31 goals and 15 assists for 77 points. Karlie also surpassed the previous school records and has the second most goals and assists in one season in school history. Karlie with the other returning forwards will be a force for Mulvane for the next two years.

Senior Haley Hughes earned 1st Team All-Metro honors from the Wichita Eagle and All-State 2nd team from the Eagle and Sports in Kansas as a defender. The senior anchored the back line for Mulvane and provided much-needed, high-level experience that helped the Cats hold up in so many tense playoff games. She did not reach the offensive side of the field much but did get a couple of assists on the season. Haley will be continuing her soccer career at Sterling College next year.

Sophomore Rylie Schiffelbein earned All-State 2nd team honors from the Wichita Eagle and Sports in Kansas as a goalkeeper. Rylie also earned All-Metro 3rd team honors from the Wichita Eagle. Rylie finished the 2021 season with 192 saves, 43 goals allowed, and had an 82% save percentage. Rylie was a rock for the Mulvane defense and in the 3 games that ended in a penalty kick shootout, Rylie blocked enough shots to give the Wildcats the win in all 3 of those games. Rylie will be key for the Mulvane defense for the next 2 years.

Coach Jesse Myers earned All-Metro 1st Team honors for head coach from the Wichita Eagle. Coach Myers finished his first season at the helm (with last season being canceled) with a 15-5 record and the most wins in school history, a regional championship, and 2nd place in 4-1A state.

The Wildcats will be looking to continue to build on their success next year with many returning starters from this season and will be looking to Emma, Karlie, and Rylie as a foundation for their continued success.
