MHS - Women's Soccer / March 29, 2021 By Kasey McDowell
The women's varsity team kicked off the season in fine fashion as they defeated Ark City 10-0 last Thursday, March 25th to move to 1-0 for the season. The Wildcats were led by Emma Kolbe who finished with 5 goals and 4 assists for 14 points. Karlie Kanaga (So.) knocked in 2 goals, Emma Hoffman (Fr.) with 2 goals, and Sean Neptune (Sr.) with 1 goal.
Rylie Schiffelbein guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 1 save with 1 shot on goal.
The 4 assists for Emma is a new school record for assists in a single game. The old record of 3 assists was held by herself (2019), Kolbie McDaniel (2018), and Rachel Edwards (2002).

The women's JV team defeated Ark City 5-1 to move to 1-0 for the season. The Wildcats were led by Teagan Garrison (Fr.) and Kasey Dillon (Fr.) who both finished with 2 goals each. Ashlyn Alumbaugh (Fr.) also knocked in 1 goal for the Cats.
Madison Shaw (Fr.) guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 3 saves with 4 shots on goal.
