Gerlach Earns All-Conference Recognition
WICHITA, Kan. – The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the 2015 Women's Soccer All-Conference award winners.
Elise Gerlach, a Sophomore transfer student from Cowley Community College, from Mulvane, Kan. was named Honorable Mention All-KCAC. Gerlach started in all 17 games for the Threshers this season as a defender. She one goal during those 17 games.
In its first year as a member of the conference, Oklahoma Wesleyan University is the KCAC regular season champion, while freshman Kaja Cremin was voted as the Most Valuable Player as well as Freshman of the Year.
Ottawa's Caroline Jenkins earns Offensive Player of the Year honors, while Ottawa University's Annie Kessler earns Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second-straight year. Newcomer of the Year is awarded to Cynthia Chaves of Kansas Wesleyan, with Jovana Canales of Bethany receiving Goalkeeper of the Year. Oklahoma Wesleyan head coach, Vladan Glavonic was selected Coach of the Year by his peers.
