The MMS basketball teams played on Saturday in the Patriot League Tournament. 8th boys advance, 7th boys end season.

The Mulvane Middle School basketball teams hosted the season-ending Patriot League tournament on Saturday and the 7th-grade boys faced Rose Hill and the 8th-grade boys faced Winfield. The 8th-grade team jumped out to a hot start behind Jack Entwisle, who is in his 2nd game back from a foot injury, and dropped in 11 points in the first quarter. The Cats took a 23-16 lead into halftime and Jack got hot again in the third quarter, dropping in 13 more points. The Wildcats coasted to the 57-43 win and will face Rose Hill on Monday in the championship game. Jack Entwisle led the boys with 30 points in the game and Hays Ensley broke into double digits with 10 points.

The 8th-grade boys will play Rose Hill on Monday for the tournament championship at 6:15 PM at the Mulvane Middle School.

The 7th-grade boys faced Rose Hill and they started off the first half slowly and went into halftime down 2-10. The Cats turned it on in the second half, scoring 13 points in the 3rd quarter, and tried to mount a comeback in the 4th, but fell just short 25-31. Kole Schwanke led the Wildcats with 14 points in the game.

The 7A boys finished the season with a 3-11 record and 3-8 in league play. The Cats finished the season with 369 total points and were led by Parker Kraft who finished the season with 171 points. The Wildcat's opponents finished the season with 589 points. 

The 7B boys finished the season with a 9-4 record and 8-3 in league play. The Cats finished the season with 386 total points and were led by Parker Kraft who finished the season with 171 points. The Wildcat's opponents finished the season with 281 points.
