The Wildcats faced a couple of tough teams during homecoming week, falling to the Indians and Thunderbirds.

The Mulvane basketball teams host the Circle Thunderbirds last Friday for the Winter Homecoming. This was the third time the Cats faced the Thunderbirds this season. The varsity game turned into a defensive battle and the Wildcats took a 15-9 lead into halftime. The Cats were up 21-18 after the third quarter, but a tough 4th quarter for the Cats turned the game around and the Wildcats fell 23-33. Kaiden Abasolo led the boys with 8 points and 7 rebounds in the game.

The JV team found themselves down 19-35 after the first half and the Cats fell 39-61. Parker Clubb led the boys with 8 points on the evening. In the Fr/So game, the Cats were outscored by 9 points in the first half and 5 points in the second half with a final score of 44-58. Dylan Mow led the Wildcats with 15 points on the contest.

The Cats made the trip to Andale last Tuesday for a non-league matchup against the Indians. The Cats battled hard in the first half but found themselves down 21-27. The second half was fairly even but the Cats couldnt make up the difference, falling 40-51. Aiden McKee led the Cats with 15 points and Easton Groth led the Cats on the boards with 6 rebounds. 

The JV team won the first quarter but the Indians had the edge in the rest of the game as the cats fell 33-57. Cooper Slayton led the Wildcats with 13 points on the evening. The Fr/So had trouble getting points to fall against Andale as they fell 11-54. Brady Nelson and Dylan Mow led the boys with 4 points each in the game.
