The Mulvane men's wrestling team had a busy week with three duals and a tournament. The Cats traveled to Garden Plain yesterday for a 13 team tournament dubbed the Annual Bill Brown Invitational. The Wildcats brought their A-Game and took the team gold with 150.5 points, including 3 individual golds and 7 individual medalists.
Sophomore Koehn Dietrich finished in the top spot in the 106 lb weight class with 1 win by decision and 2 wins by fall. Senior Andy Huynh grabbed the gold in the 175 lb weight class with 2 wins by decision, 2 wins by fall, and 1 win by major decision. Senior Ethan Irvine swept the 215 lb weight class with 4 wins by fall and 1 win by decision.
The Cats had 4 more medalists as Maurice Fuller finished in 2nd place in the 144 lb weight class and Jackson Hughes also finished in 2nd place in the 165 lb weight class. Kyson Schultz finished in 3rd place in the 126 lb weight class and Cameron Hagerman also finished in 3rd place in the 138 lb weight class.
