The Mulvane High School wrestling teams traveled to Wellington for a boys and girls tournament on Saturday, December 10th. The boy's team grabbed 2nd place with 156.5 points and the girl's team finished in 3rd place with 76.0 points.

The Cats had 5 wrestlers finish on the top of the podium in their respective weight classes. Cameron Hagerman (So.) finished in first place in the 138 lb weight class with 4 wins by fall. Chris Dietrich (Sr.) grabbed the gold in the 190 lb weight class with 4 wins by fall and 1 win by decision. Leiannah Landreth (So.) won the gold in the 115-120 lb weight class with 4 wins by fall. Kammie Schanz (Sr.) won the 145 lb weight class with 2 wins by fall and 1 win by forfeit. Katelyn Wyant (Jr.) won the 155 lb weight class with 4 wins by fall.

The Wildcats had 5 wrestlers finish in second place and 1 wrestler finish in 3rd place. Koehn Dietrich (106), Maurice Fuller (144), Gaelin Mason-Schmidt (157), Austin Vanderhoof (285), and Kasey Dillon (130-135) all finished in 2nd place, and Dacia Root (125) finished in 3rd place.
