The Mulvane Middle School wrestling team closed out their 2022-23 season on Saturday at the Patriot League tournament. The Wildcats finished in 4th place overall with 185.5 points. The Cats had one wrestler place 1st in his weight class, four wrestlers finish in 2nd place, and four wrestlers finish in 3rd place.
8th grader Cooper Brown grabbed the gold in the 265 lb weight class with 3 wins by fall, all in the first period. Finishing in 2nd place in their respective weight classes were 7th grader Tysen Rhodes in the 90 lb weight class, 8th grader Kreedence Lavers in the 100 lb weight class, 7th grader Taven Osborn in the 110 lb weight class, and 7th grader Keaton Grizzle in the 134 lb weight class.
Finishing in 3rd place in their respective weight classes were 8th grader Kolten Whisler in the 95 lb weight class, 7th grader Gibson Schmidt in the 120 lb weight class, 8th grader Cole Zimmerman in the 127 lb weight class, and 7th grader Brock Garnica in the 180 lb weight class.
