The 7th grade volleyball girls swept the evening in last Monday's triangular. 8th grade girls split in their games.

The Mulvane Middle School volleyball season is winding down as they only have one more triangular left this coming week and then the season-ending tournament next weekend. The girls faced Winfield and Wellington last Monday in league matchups, the 8th girls at home and the 7th girls at Winfield.

The 8th-grade girls both split on the evening with the 8A team winning the first match against Winfield 2-0 (25-15 & 25-9) and falling to Wellington 1-2 (25-22, 19-25, & 14-16) in a very intense close battle. The 8B girls similarly defeated Winfield 2-0 (25-4 & 28-26) and fell to Wellington 1-2 (25-13, 20-25, & 11-15).

The 7th-grade girls swept the evening at Winfield as the 7A girls defeated Winfield 2-0 (25-18 & 25-19) and Wellington 2-1 (27-25, 25-27, & 15-11) in a very tight matchup. The 7B girls took care of business and defeated Winfield 2-0 (25-10 & 25-17) and Wellington 2-0 (25-18 & 25-22).

The 8A girls are sitting at 8-4 on the season and 6-2 in league play. The 8B girls are sitting at 6-6 on the season and 4-4 in league play. The 7A girls are sitting at 8-4 on the season and 5-3 in league play. The 7B girls are sitting at 10-2 on the season and 8-0 in league play.

The girls will be back in action on Monday, October 10th, as the 8th-grade girls travel to Clearwater and the 7th-grade girls travel to Wellington for the final triangular of the season.
