The Mulvane Middle School cross country team finishes with 12 medalists and a 1st place finish at Wellington.

The Mulvane Middle School Cross Country teams traveled to Wellington on Tuesday, September 27th for the 5th meet of the season. The 8th-grade boys stole the show, grabbed first place as a team, and medaled 3 runners. Ethan Hankins took the top spot in the 2-mile run with a time of 12:49.58 and Cole Zimmerman was right behind with a 12:56.27 for the 2nd place finish. Kyle Caruthers medaled in 20th place with a time of 14:43.84.

The 8th-grade girls finished in 6th place as a team, but all four girls medaled in the 2-mile run. Isabella Landwehr finished in 14th place with a time of 17:31.52, and Abby Dewett was close behind in 16th place with a time of 17:44.08. Maci Pfannenstiel finished in 19th place with a time of 19:44.90 and Anica Bearg finished in 20th place with a time of 19:50.55.

The 7th-grade girls finished in 4th place as a team and had three medalists. Kaitlyn Paul finished in 9th place with a time of 7:14.37 in the 1-mile run. Peyton Bartel finished in 10th place with a time of 7:24.62, and Penelope Abrams finished in 19th place with a time of 8:00.96. 

The 7th-grade boys finished in 6th place as a team and had two medalists. Wyatt Ryherd grabbed 4th place with a time of 6:07.37 in the 1-mile run and Colby Billingslea finished in 16th place with a time of 6:34.27.
