It was a near-perfect evening for the MMS volleyball teams as both groups had an away triangular on Monday, September 19th. The 8th-grade girls traveled to Ark City for a triangular with Ark City and Clearwater and the Cats came home with 3 wins and 1 loss. The 8A girls went to 3 games with Ark City but got the 2-1 win (25-23, 23-25, 15-13). They took care of Clearwater in 2 games with wins of 25-14 and 26-24. The 8B girls split on the evening, falling to Ark City 0-2 (19-25, 14-25) and winning 2-0 against Clearwater 2-0 (25-19, 25-22). The 8A girls are sitting at 6-2 on the season and 3-0 in league play. The 8B girls are sitting at 4-4 on the season and 2-1 in league play.
The 7th-grade girls swept their triangular that was held at Clearwater. The 7A team took care of business in both matches, defeating Ark City in 2 games, 25-10 and 25-20. The nightcap was against Clearwater and those were some exciting games that the Cats won 27-25 and 25-22. The 7B girls also swept the evening with a 2-1 win over Ark City (27-25, 23-25, 15-10) and a 2-0 win over Clearwater (25-10, 25-11). The 7A girls are sitting at 5-3 on the season and 1-2 in league play. The 7B girls are sitting at 6-2 on the season and 3-0 in league play.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Monday, September 26th as the 8th Graders will travel back to Ark City for a triangular with the Bulldogs and Winfield. The 7th-grade girls will be at home with a triangular with Ark City and Winfield.
