The Mulvane Middle School Cross Country team traveled to Lake Afton on Tuesday, September 13th for the Goddard Classic. The 7th grade girls finished in 4th place as a team and had three girls medal in the 1-mile run. Kaitlyn Paul grabbed 12th place with a time of 7:32.0, Peyton Bartel finished in 22nd place with a time of 8:08.5, and Penelope Abrams finished in 28th place with a time of 8:28.4.
The 7th grade boys did not have enough runners for a team placement, but had two runners in the medals with Wyatt Ryherd in 9th place with a time of 6:35.0 and Colby Billingslea in 23rd place with a time of 7:02.8 in the 1-mile race.
The 8th grade girls did not have enough runners for a team placement, but had two runners in the medals with Abby DeWitt in 25th place with a time of 12:10.0 and Isabella Landwehr in 28th place with a time of 12:14.2 in the 1.5-mile race.
The 8th grade boys finished in 6th place as a team and had two runners medal in the 1.5-mile run. Ethan Hankins finished in 2nd place with a time of 8:51:9 and Cole Zimmerman was right behind for 3rd place with a time of 8:52.7.
