The Mulvane Track & Field team qualified for the 4A State Track Meet in 7 events at the regional tournament and the Cats traveled to Cessna Stadium on Friday and Saturday for the 2-day 4A State meet. The Wildcats had two top-10 finishes and one state medalist in the meet. Senior Addison Whisler medaled in the high jump with an 8th place finish and a final height of 4 feet 8 inches. Senior Chase Nash finished in 9th place in the discus with a throw of 142 feet 2 inches.

"We definitely will miss the seniors we are losing," said Coach Robin Williams. "They are a great bunch of athletes but even better leaders! Will be fun to watch a few of them compete at the next level. We competed well, just fell short of a bunch of hardware. We have quite a few of these kids coming back, so we will have high expectations next year!"
