The MMS track team participated in the Haysville West Invitational last week on Tuesday, May 3rd. The Wildcats had 7 first place finishes in the meet and the 8th grade boys 4x200 meter relay team of Hunter Heckart, Kurtis Caruthers, Lane Rogers, and Hunter Landis, once again broke their own school record with a time of 1:42.95 and a first place finish.
Hunter Landis took 1st place in the 8th grade 100 and 200 meter dash's with times of 11.99 and 24.07. Ryland Snyder grabbed the gold in the 8th grade 3200 meter run with a time of 12:34.84. The 8th grade boys 4x100 meter relay team (Heckart, Caruthers, Landis, Schanz) took 1st place with a time of 50.15. Cooper Brown took 1st in the 7th grade shot put with a throw of 36 feet 7 inches. Blake Ferraro took the gold in the 7th girls 200 meter dash with a time of 29.14.
