The Mulvane Track & Field team hosted their one regular-season home track meet last Tuesday, April 5th, and celebrated senior night as well. The seniors recognized were Brantlee Allen, Lucy Daniel, Nikole Gonzalez, Delaney Hamm, Amber Hansen, Bella Larraga, Johanna Lauterbach, Cierra Milledge, Taylor Shain, and Addison Whisler.
The Wildcats finished the meet with 6 first-place finishes with Amber Hansen grabbing the gold in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.71. Addy Whisler got first in the high jump with a height of 5 feet. The girls 4x400 meter relay team (Sparks, Whisler, Hansen, Hamm) got first with a time of 4:47.00. Jacob Duncan took the gold in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.58. Chase Nash won the discus event with a throw of 137 feet 1 inch. Chris Ables took first in the javelin with a throw of 143 feet 7 inches.

The Wildcats took a select few to the Wichita State Shocker Pre-State Challenge (KT Woodman) on Thursday and Friday and the Cats had one first-place finish with Addy Whisler getting the top height in the high jump at 5 feet 3.75 inches. The Cats had 7 top 10 finishers in the two days with the next best being the girls 4x400 meter relay getting 5th place with a time of 4:45.04.
