The Mulvane Wildcats wrestling team had good representation on the all-league teams voted on by the coaches.

The Mulvane Wrestling team wrapped up their season last month at the state tournaments and the AVCT League coaches have met and voted on the All-League wrestlers from this season. The Wildcats had 14 wrestlers receive All-League recognition, five 1st-team wrestlers, three 2nd team wrestlers, and six Honorable Mention wrestlers.

On the girls team, freshman Leiannah Landreth and junior Kammie Schanz received 1st-team honors. Landreth finished her season with a 34-3 record in the 109 lb class and a 2nd place finish at state. Schanz finished her season with an 18-5 record in the 155 lb class and a 5th place finish at state.

Junior Jericka Stiles earned 2nd-team honors in the 138 lb class and finished her season with a 15-9 record and a trip to state. Junior Larissa Gonzalez and sophomore Loren Gonzalez both earned honorable mention honors. Larissa finished her season with an 8-12 record in the 120 lb class and Loren finished her season with a 9-20 record in the 235 lb class and a trip to state.  

On the boys team, senior Hunter Dietrich, senior Trent Moses, and junior Ethan Irvine all received 1st-team honors. Dietrich finished his season with a 31-6 record in the 138 lb class and earned his second trip to state in his career. Moses finished this season with a 31-6 record in the 145 lb class and a 5th place finish at state. Irvine finished his season with a 13-5 record in the 182 lb class and earned his first trip to state in his career.

Juniors Andy Huynh and Chris Dietrich both earned 2nd-team all-league honors. Huynh finished his season with a 28-10 record in the 170 lb class and earned a trip to state and Dietrich finished his season with an 11-7 record in the 195 lb class and also earned a trip to state.

Freshman Koehn Dietrich, junior Kaydon Moffett, freshman Cameron Hagerman, and sophomore Austin Vanderhoof all earned honorable mention honors. Koehn finished his season with a 21-19 record in the 106 lb class, Moffett finished his season with a 15-7 record in the 113 lb class, Hagerman finished his season with a 7-19 record in the 126 lb class, and Vanderhoof finished his season with a 16-18 record in the 220 lb class.
