The men's basketball team faced Wellington for the 4th time this season, top Crusaders in 3 out of 4 games.

MHS - Men's Basketball / February 21, 2022 By Kasey McDowell

How do you start a basketball game to get the team and crowd pumped up? An alley-oop dunk of course. That's how the Wildcats started the game last Friday in their 4th matchup with Wellington for the 2021-22 season. Senior Mason Ellis slammed it down after a perfect pass from senior Landon Coe for the Cats first points of the game. The Wildcats did not slow down after that and defeated the Crusaders 65-42. Wellington was able to drop in 20 in the first quarter, but the Cats held them to just 22 points in the last three quarters.

Kaiden Abasolo led the Cats with 19 points in the game and Mason Ellis, Ian Comer, and Landon Coe all got into double digits as they scored 15, 12, and 10 points respectively. Ian Comer had a double-double and led the team in rebounds with 10 boards.
