The Mulvane Wrestling teams opened up their season again after winter break last Saturday, January 8th in a long day of tournament play at Burlington high school. The Cats had two second place finishes and four 3rd place finishes in the tournament and finished in 2nd place overall as a team. Koehn Dietrich finished in 2nd place in the 106 weight class. Trent Moses finished in 2nd place in the 145 weight class. Kaydon Moffett finished in 3rd place in the 113 weight class. Hunter Dietrich finished in 3rd place in the 138 weight class. Trenton Davis finished in 3rd place in the 152 weight class. Andy Huynh finished in 3rd place in the 170 weight class.

The girls team only had 3 girls wrestling on the day and freshman Leiannah Landreth took home the gold in the 109 weight class and is currently 14-1 this season. The girls finished in 13th place out of 23 teams.
