MHS - Men's Basketball / December 15, 2021 By Kasey McDowell
The Mulvane men's basketball teams hosted their first home games of the season on Tuesday, December 14th as the Rose Hill Rockets came to town for a league matchup. The varsity boys were looking to stretch their win streak to 3 after the Circle Tournament last week.
The Varsity squad started off the game with a 15-12 first-quarter lead but a tough second quarter found the Cats down 24-35 at halftime. The Wildcats and Rockets were pretty even in the third quarter but the Cats weren't able to cut into the Rocket lead and the boys fell 51-73 as the clock ticked to zero. Several of the Wildcats were in foul trouble all night. Ian Comer had himself a night and led the Wildcats with 26 points on the evening and also led the Cats in rebounds with 8 boards. Aiden McKee had his first varsity game in double digits with 12 points and Kaiden Abasolo broke into double digits with 10 points.

The JV had trouble breaking through the Rose Hill defense all evening as they fell 37-56. The JV boys found themselves down 19-28 at halftime and couldn't make up the difference in the second half as they lost that half 18-29. Aiden McKee led the Cats with 11 points on the evening.

The C-Team fell behind 12-23 in the first half and struggled to catch up in the second half as well, falling 30-47 to Rose Hill. Braylin Coe led the Wildcats with 10 points on the evening.
