The Mulvane High School cross country teams traveled to Harvey County East Lake for the Berean Invitational this past Thursday, September 30th. "We finally had a day that was a cooler temperature," said Coach Roderick. "Our kids have been working really hard and definitely took advantage of the cooler conditions. Almost all of our runners had their best times of the year." The girl's varsity team finished in 6th place and had three runners earn a medal. Freshman Leiannah Landreth, senior Kamryn Nolan, and junior Reagan Sparks in her first race back from an injury led the girl's team with 21st, 22nd, and 23rd place, all within 2 seconds of each other and each earning a medal. Landreth finished in 21st place with a time of 23:56.55, Nolan in 22nd place with a time of 23:57.17, and Sparks in 23rd place with a time of 23:58.64.

The JV girls team was led by sophomore Miranda Clark who finished in 4th place with a time of 25:06.90 and sophomore Anna Stahl who finished in 10th place with a time of 26:30.71, both earning a medal.

"We were happy to have Reagan and Miranda complete their first meet of the year," said Coach Roderick. "They have had some setbacks this season, and they will help our girl's team be much better moving forward."

The boy's varsity team finished in 8th place and was led by senior Victor Salazar who finished in 40th place with a time of 19:27.73. There were no Mulvane runners in the boys JV race.
