The high school and middle school cross country teams brought home some hardware from Circle and Goddard meets.

The high school cross country team traveled to the Gary Wartick Farm for a very competitive 8-team Circle Invitational meet. "I am glad to report that we had several of our runners show quite a bit of improvement from last week," said head coach Chris Roderick. "For some of our runners, this was the first 5K that they have ever run, and they did a great job."

The Wildcats had four runners who received medals. Senior Kamryn Nolan finished in 25th place in the varsity girls 5K with a time of 24:30. Senior Victor Salazar finished in 19th place in the varsity boys 5K with a time of 20:09. Freshman Cyndee Adams finished in 15th place in the JV girls 5K with a time of 27:33. Freshman Jacob Wilson finished in 2nd place in the JV boys 5K with a time of 20:12.  As a team, the varsity girls and boys both finished in 7th place.

The High School XC team will travel to Lake Afton on Thursday, September 23rd for the Goddard Invitational with a 4:00 PM start time.

The Mulvane Middle School Cross Country team traveled to Lake Afton for the Goddard Invitational last Tuesday, September 14th. The Cats brought home 6 medals from the meet. In the 8th-grade boys 1.5-mile run, Johnathan Wilson finished in 5th place with a time of 9:25.4, and Lane Rogers finished in 18th place in his first race of the season with a time of 10:33.4. In the 8th-grade girls 1.5-mile run, Makenzie Allen finished in 17th place with a time of 12:24.6, and Kalyn Nolan finished in 30th place with a time of 15:29.7. 

In the 7th-grade boys 1-mile run, Ethan Hankins finished in 1st place with a time of 6:07.0 and in the 7th-grade girls 1-mile run, Isabella Landwehr finished in 25th place with a time of 7:55.3.
