MHS - Men's Soccer / September 4, 2021 By Kasey McDowell
The men's soccer team opened up their season last week as they hosted El Dorado on Monday, August 30th. The Wildcats defeated El Dorado 10-0 and were led by Kelton Boster (Sr.) who finished with 4 goals. Ben Thorson (Jr.) also got the hat trick with 3 goals and 1 assist. Quincy Walker (Fr.), Kyler Smith (So.), and Canon Lampe (So.) all dropped in 1 goal each as well. Aiden McKee (So.) led the team with 3 assists. Alex Dial (Jr.) guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 2 saves with 2 shots on goal. There was no JV game against El Dorado.

The Cats hosted the Winfield Vikings the next day and the varsity fell 1-3 and moved to 1-1 for the season. The Wildcats were led by Chance Nolan who finished with the Wildcats 1 goal. Alex Dial guarded the Wildcats net and finished the game with 13 saves with 16 shots on goal.

The men's JV team defeated Winfield 3-2 to move to 1-0 for the season. The Wildcats were led by Luis Lazaro, Chance Nolan, and Layne McDonald who all finished with 1 goal each.
