The Mulvane Track & Field team traveled to Andale on Thursday, May 20th for the 4A regional track meet and the Wildcats placed in the top 4 in eight events to qualify for the 4A State Track Meet to be held next Friday, May 28th at the Wichita State Cessna Stadium.
Amber Hansen (Jr.) finished in 3rd place in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.63. Jacob Duncan (Jr.) finished in 4th place in the boys 400-meter dash with a time of 52.97. Campbell Williams (Sr.) finished in 4th place in the girls 800-meter run with a time of 2:31.94. Christian Baltzley (Jr.) finished in 2nd place in the boys 300-meter hurdles with a time of 42.46.
The girls 4x400 meter relay team of Campbell Williams (Sr.), Reagan Sparks (So.), junior Delaney Hamm (Jr.), and Amber Hansen (Jr.) finished in 4th place with a time of 4:21.84. The boys 4x800 meter relay team of Christopher Dietrich (So.), Jacob Duncan (Jr.), Matthew Eggleston (Fr.), and Victor Salazar (Jr.) finished in 4th place with a time of 8:49.74. The girls 4x800 meter relay team of Amber Hansen (Jr.), Reagan Sparks (So.), Delaney Hamm (Jr.), and Campbell Williams (Sr.) finished in 1st place with a time of 10:24.85. Chase Nash (Jr.) finished in 2nd place in the boys discus with a throw of 146 feet and 2 inches.
