The MMS track team won 5 golds at the home meet and a first place finish for the 7th grade boys.

The Mulvane Middle School hosted their one and only track meet of the season this past Thursday, April 29th, and the 7th-grade boys took the gold in the team standings with 104 points, the 7th-grade girls finished in 7th place with 13 points, the 8th-grade boys finished in 7th place with 38 points, and the 8th-grade girls finished in 8th place with 0 points.

The Wildcats finished in 1st place in five events in the meet, all by 7th-grade boys runners. Hunter Landis dashed his way into first place and a new school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.30. The old school record was 25.4. Johnathan Wilson grabbed gold in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:33.34.

The 7th-grade boys 4x200 meter relay team (Hunter Heckart, Lane Rogers, Kurtis Caruthers, Hunter Landis) has been almost unstoppable this year and grabbed first place with a time of 1:50.99. The 4x400 meter relay team (Kurtis Caruthers, Hunter Heckart, Caleb Boor, Ryland Snyder) also finished in 1st place with a time of 4:44.52.



The 7th-grade boys 800-meter sprint medley had a very exciting race as the anchor Lane Rogers came from behind in the last 100 meters of his 400-meter run and sprinted into 1st place for the team (Dominic Liberto, Hunter Heckart, KJ Schanz, Lane Rogers).
