Senior, Trey Abasolo, has been selected by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association to play in the KBCA All-Star game on June 19, 2021, on the campus of Kansas Wesleyan University.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be selected by the coaches of the KBCA, and I’m humbled to have the opportunity to play alongside some of the top basketball players in the state of Kansas.” Said Abasolo. “I’m looking forward to having a lot of fun.”

The KBCA All-Star game selects the state’s top talented and deserving senior boys and girls basketball players from all six classes, 1A-6A. Normally, leading up to the all-star game, the teams have multiple days to prepare, practice, and get to know each other prior to the all-star game. But due to COVID-19, this year the teams will meet, practice, and play all on the same day. Nevertheless, the shortened practice time shouldn’t damper anything for this year’s players with so much talent selected.

Abasolo has been selected to play on the White squad along with such standouts as Campus Colts Sterling Chapman and Stevie Strong. Bishop Carrol’s Alex Littlejohn and Andover’s Jack Johnson, just to name a few.

The Blue squad is just as loaded with the likes of basketball powerhouse, Bluevalley Northwest’s Jack Chapman, and Alston Mason. Maize High’s Jacob Hanna, Buhler’s Max Alexander, and local Belle Plaine point guard Eli Wiseman.

With more than a month before tip-off, the KBCA is expected to live stream the game and so far there have not been any fan limitations to attendance associated with the game. The KBCA plans to announce event details leading up to the event. Make sure you check back here at mulvanesports.com and our Twitter feed, @MulvaneSports, for more details.
