The Mulvane track team brings home 5 golds from Wellington, 1 from Clearwater.

The Mulvane Track & Field team had a very busy week last week with a meet on Monday at Clearwater, a JV meet at Augusta on Tuesday, and a meet at Wellington on Thursday. 

There were no team results at Wellington on Thursday but the Wildcats brought home 5 gold medals from the meet. Campbell Williams grabbed first place in the women's 800-meter run with a time of 2:37.88. The women's 4x800 meter relay team (Amber Hansen, Reagan Sparks, Delaney Hamm, Campbell Williams) grabbed first with a time of 10:54.51.

Ben Thorson finished in first place in the men's 200-meter dash with a time of 23.67. Chris Dietrich got the gold in the men's 3200-meter run with a time of 11:05.32. Chase Nash threw the discus to first place with a throw of 133 feet 11 inches.

The Augusta JV invitational was supposed to be a JV-only meet, but it turned into a varsity meet but the Wildcats only sent the JV squad. The girls did very well and ended up with a 6th place finish with 33 points.

At the Clearwater Invitational, the women's team finished in 7th place and the men's team in 8th place. The Wildcats only had one first-place finish in this tough meet as the girls 4x800 meter relay team (Amber Hansen, Reagan Sparks, Delaney Hamm, Campbell Williams) grabbed the gold with a time of 11:00.61.
