The Mulvane track team traveled to Andover on Tuesday, April 20th for the Andover Invitational. There were some 5A and 6A schools at the meet and as a team the men's and women's teams both finished in 4th place. The women's team finished with 63 points and men's team with 59 points.
The Cats had one first place finish on the evening with Chase Nash (Jr.) grabbing the gold in the men's discus with a throw of 143 feet 2 inches. Mulvane had five second place finishes on the evening with Amber Hansen (Jr.) getting 2nd in the women's 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.04. Miranda Clark (Fr.) finished in 2nd place in the 3200 meter run with a time of 14:08.69. Addy Whisler (Jr.) finished in 2nd place in the women's high jump with a jump of 5 feet 0 inches. Nash also got 2nd place in the men's javelin throw with a toss of 143 feet 7 inches. The women's 4x400 meter relay (Reagan Sparks, Addy Whisler, Campbell Williams, Amber Hansen) finished in 2nd place with a time of 4:30.53.
