The Mulvane Track & Field team traveled to Augusta last Tuesday, March 30th for the Augusta Eary Bird track meet and the Wildcats came home with several first-place finishes and many top 6 finishes from the meet. There were no team scores for this meet.
On the girl's side, Amber Hansen (Jr.) placed first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.15. The girl's 4x400 meter relay team of Campbell Williams (Sr.), Addison Whisler (Jr.), Reagan Sparks (So.), and Amber Hansen finished in first place with a time of 4:42.95. The girl's 4x800 meter relay team of Campbell Williams, Reagan Sparks, Amber Hansen, and Delaney Hamm (Jr.) finished in first place with a time of 11:30.88. Addison Whisler finished first in the girl's high jump with a jump of 5 feet 1 inch. Bella Larraga (Jr.) finished in first place in the girl's javelin with a throw of 95 feet 11 inches.
On the boy's side, Christian Baltzley (Jr.) finished in first place in the pole vault with a jump of 10 feet 6 inches. Chase Nash (Jr.) finished in first place in the boy's discus with a throw of 131 feet 11 inches. Chris Ables (Jr.) finished in first place in the boy's javelin with a throw of 138 feet 8 inches.
