The Mulvane Wrestling team and new head coach Jesse Myers had a great 2020-21 season, capped off by 5 state medalists and a state champion, and 15 wrestlers earning AVCTL D4 all-league honors.
The women's team had 8 wrestlers earning all-league honors with Chloe Watson (Fr. 101 lb), Kammie Schanz (So. 138 lb), and Jericka Stiles (So. 143 lb) all earning 1st team all-league. Kammie capped off her undefeated season with a state championship. Mickinzee Shields (Sr. 109 lb), Emma Bowman (So. 120 lb), Delaney Hamm (Jr. 126 lb), Kasey Dillon (Fr. 132 lb), and Katelyn Wyant (Fr. 155 lb) all earned 2nd team all-league. Kasey Dillon and Katelyn Wyant also earned a trip to the state tournament.
The men's team had 7 wrestlers earning all-league honors with Chadwick Stahl (Sr. 132 lb), Trent Moses (Jr. 138 lb), and Chris Dietrich (So. 160 lb) all earning 1st team all-league and all three wrestlers earned trips to and medaled at state. Hunter Dietrich (Jr. 126 lb) and Hunter Scott (Sr. 285 lb) both earned 2nd team all-league honors and Scott medaled at state as well. Trenton Davis (So. 145 lb) and Andy Huynh (So. 170 lb) both earned all-league honorable mention.
