The MMS boys basketball teams wrapped up their regular season this week as they faced Clearwater and Rose Hill in regularly scheduled games and Haysville West in make-up games. The 7A team finished the regular season with a 7-4 record and 6-4 in league play, the 7B team finished with a 9-2 record and 8-2 in league play, the 8A team finished the season with a 2-9 record and 2-8 in league play, and the 8B team finished the season with a 5-6 record and 5-5 in league play. The teams will wrap up the season today as they will participate in the league tournament with the 8th graders facing Haysville West at 9:00 AM and the 7th graders facing Rose Hill at 10:15 AM.
The 7A team took care of business as they kept Rose Hill at bay all game long. The Cats jumped out ahead in the first quarter with a 19-4 lead. The Wildcats outscored Rose Hill in the second quarter and were ahead at halftime 36-5. The boys won the third quarter and went into the fourth up 42-5. The boys outscored Rose Hill in the fourth quarter and finished with a 50-5 win. Parker Clubb led the boys with 14 points on the evening.

The 7B team took care of business as they kept Rose Hill at bay all game long. The Wildcats took the lead during the first half, going into halftime up 24-7. Rose Hill held the boys at bay in the second half, but the boys were able to come out with the win with a final score of 43-30. Aaron Heird led the Cats with 8 points on the evening.

The 8A team had no trouble against Rose Hill as they won the game 46-23. The boys jumped out ahead in the first quarter with a 12-4 lead. The Cats won the second quarter and were ahead at halftime 25-11. The Wildcats won the third quarter and went into the fourth up 43-14. The Cats lost the fourth quarter but held on for the 46-23 win. Fisher Dye led the Cats with 17 points on the evening.

The 8B team had a shootout with Rose Hill as they were neck and neck for most of the ballgame but fell just short. The boys took the 5-0 lead in the first quarter. The Cats were outscored in the second quarter but were ahead at halftime 11-7. The third quarter was even and the Wildcats were ahead 15-11 going into the fourth. The Cats lost the fourth quarter and fell 21-25 to Rose Hill. Kaden Palmer led the Cats with 7 points on the evening.

The MMS boys teams traveled to Haysville West for some make-up games on Wednesday and the Cats finished 3-1 on the evening with the 7th-grade boys both grabbing wins and the 8th-graders splitting.
