The Mulvane Girls Wrestling team had 5 wrestlers make it through districts and regionals and traveled to Ellis, KS on Friday, February 19th for the sub-state tournament. The top 4 in each weight bracket will advance to the 4A Girls State Tournament next Friday, February 26th in Salina.

Undefeated Kammie Schanz (So.) dominated her way through the 138 lb bracket with all 3 wins by fall to become sub-state champion. Kammie finished in 2nd place at state last year and has her eye on that state championship this Friday. Kasey Dillon (Fr.) finished in 4th place in the 132 lb bracket with 2 wins by fall and 2 losses by fall. Katelyn Wyant (Fr.) finished in 4th place in the 155 lb bracket with 2 wins by fall and 2 losses by fall. Kammie, Kasey, and Katelyn will all advance to the state tournament this coming Friday.

Delany Hamm (Jr.) and Jericka Stiles (So.) seasons came to a close as they both lost their first 2 matches of the tournament. They both had great seasons and the coaches are looking forward to them coming back stronger next year.
