Varsity girls get sweep at El Dorado, JV splits on the evening, freshman girls have good quads.

The Lady Wildcats traveled to El Dorado on Tuesday, October 6th for a triangular with El Dorado and Winfield. The Cats fell to El Dorado in the first game 15-25, but battled back in game 2 winning 25-20 and finished the match with a 25-19 win over the other Wildcats. Sophomore Emily Schmidt (So.) led the Cats with 15 kills in the game.

The Wildcats had a couple of close games against Winfield, but were able to edge out the Vikings 25-23 in game 1 and 25-22 in game 2 to secure the win.

On the day, Emily Schmidt led the Wildcats with 23 kills and Legend Bell finished with 12 kills, Addy Whisler (9), Karlie Kanaga (7), and Makenna Reekie (6). Sophomore Jadyn Stevenson led the Cats with 6 aces followed by Karlie Kanaga (2), Haley Chambers (2), Emily Schmidt (1), and Addy Whisler (1).

In the assists department, Karlie Kanaga led the Cats with 28 followed by Haley Chambers (22), Makenna Reekie (5), and Emily Schmidt (1). Junior Tatum Heersche led the Cats in Digs with 28 followed by Karlie Kanaga and Jadyn Stevenson (13), Emily Schmidt and Lexi Schuckman (9), Haley Chambers (8), Addison Whisler (7), Landry Sanders, Makenna Reekie, and Legend Bell (3).

The varsity girls are sitting at 9-15 on the season (0-7 in league) and will face Andale and Rose Hill this coming Tuesday, October 13th at Mulvane.

The JV girls traveled to El Dorado as well and split on the evening as they fell to El Dorado 15-25 and 12-25 but defeated Winfield 25-19 and 25-10. The JV girls are sitting at 6-14 on the year and will face Andale and Rose Hill at Mulvane this coming Tuesday, October 13th.

The freshman girls had a couple of good quads going 2-1 at Mulvane on Thursday, October 1st and 2-1 at Augusta on Thursday, October 8th. At Mulvane, the girls fell to Circle in a close match 16-25, 25-22, and 13-15 and defeated Clearwater 25-21 and 25-17 and Rose Hill 21-25, 25-19, and 15-12.

At Augusta, the girls took down Winfield  25-12 and 25-19, fell to McPherson 20-25 and 11-25, and defeated Augusta 18-25, 25-23, and 15-13. The freshman girls are sitting at 11-12 on the season and will have their final quad at Augusta this coming Thursday, October 15th.
