The Mulvane Middle School boys basketball teams are in their final week of regular season games this week. Last week the Cats were on the road at Augusta and at Prairie Hills. The 8A team faced a tough Augusta team last Monday and the Wildcats fell 28-51. Parker Kraft led the Wildcats with 14 points in the game. The 8B boys had a close matchup but pulled off the 40-35 win with 13 points from Jaxon Avila to lead the Cats.

The 7A and 7B teams both had trouble breaking through the Augusta defense all evening as the 7A boys fell 24-58 and the 7B boys lost 24-42. Jaxon Treat led the Cats with 12 points and Hollis Ensley finished with 10 points in the 7A game and Eghan Dunn led the Cats in the 7B game with 6 points.

The Wildcats traveled to Prairie Hills last Thursday and the Cats won 3 out of the 4 games against the Crusaders. The 8A boys fell behind in the first half, but a great 4th quarter propelled the Cats to the 47-40 win. Kole Schwanke led the boys with 13 points on the evening and Kane Cuthbertson broke into double digits with 11 points.
The 8B game was a tight one and the Cats fell 20-23. The Cats were up after 3 quarters, but could only manage to score 2 points in the 4th quarter. Lawrence Hendrix led the boys with 8 points in the game.

The 7A team took care of business as they kept Prairie Hills at bay all game long. The boys took a 28-16 lead into halftime and were able to hold on for the 45-33 win. Jaxon Treat led the Wildcats with 14 points and Hollis Ensley finished in double digits as well with 12 points.
The 7B team had no trouble against Prairie Hills, winning the game 27-17. In an 11-0 second quarter, the Cats took a large lead into halftime and finished strong for the win. Jaxon Parrott led the Wildcats with 8 points on the evening.
