The MMS boys basketball teams had a busy week with 2 away games and 1 home game in the past 6 days.

The MMS Boys basketball teams had a busy week as they had three ball games in six days. The Wildcats traveled to El Dorado on Monday and to Rose Hill on Thursday, and hosted Circle on Saturday.

The 8A team game versus El Dorado came down to just a few points and the boys came out on top 29-22. Tavion Richardson and Parker Kraft led the boys with 10 points each in the game. The 8B team had no trouble against El Dorado as they won the game 43-5. Lawrence Hendrix led the Wildcats with 13 points on the evening.

The 7A team jumped out in the first quarter and did not look back as they came out on top 27-18. Hollis Ensley led the Cats with 9 points on the evening. The 7B team had no trouble against El Dorado as they won the game 34-21. Jacob Hooten led the boys with 10 points in the game.

The Cats traveled to Haysville West on Thursday and the 8A game had a barn burner of a contest, going to overtime and the Wildcats won 61-58. Kole Schwanke led the Cats with 24 points in the game and Parker Kraft finished in double digits with 15 points. It was a hard-fought game between both teams as the 8B team faced Haysville West and the Wildcats came out on top 32-25. Lawrence Hendrix led the boys with 8 points on the evening.

It was a close game between both teams as the 7A team faced Haysville West and the Cats came out on top 30-26. Jaxon Treat led the Wildcats with 12 points in the contest. The 7B team was led by Jacob Hooten with 8 points as they defeated Haysville West 22-16.

The Cats hosted the Circle Thunderbirds in rare Saturday games. The 8A boys fell behind by 6 in the first quarter and couldn't quite make up the points as they fell 33-40. Parker Kraft led the Wildcats with 17 points in the game. It was a nail-biter of a game as the 8B team faced Circle but the boys fell 28-31. Lawrence Hendrix led the Wildcats with 8 points in the game.

The 7A had trouble getting points to fall against Circle as they fell 26-52. Hollis Ensley led the Cats with 8 points in the contest. The 7B team had a very close game against Circle and was able to edge the Thunderbirds by 1 point as they got the 28-27 win. Brigham Gear led the Cats with 7 points in the game.

The 8A boys are sitting at 2-3 on the season, the 8B boys are 4-1, the 7A boys are 4-1, and the 7B boys are still undefeated at 5-0. The Cats will be back in action on Thursday, February 1st as they host Winfield.
