The Mulvane girls wrestlings teams had a busy week last week with a tournament at Augusta on Thursday and a tournament at Eureka on Saturday, and a JV tournament at Wellington on Saturday. The varsity girls finished in 4th place at Augusta with 69 points as a team and came home with several medals. Leiannah Landreth finished on top in the 120 lb weight class and Elaina Gamble grabbed the gold as well in the 140 lb weight class. Makenzie Rogers finished in 2nd place in the 145 lb weight class and Loren Gonzalez finished in 2nd place in the 170 lb weight class. Haley Myers finished in 3rd place in the 155 lb weight class. Hayley Elam and Jelena Garza both finished in 4th place in the 145 and 170 lb weight classes.

The Mulvane girls varsity wrestling team traveled to Eureka on Saturday, January 20th for the Eureka Invitational. The Wildcats finished in 13th place out of 25 teams with 47 points. Junior Leiannah Landreth finished in 2nd place in the 120 lb weight class with a tough first-place match with a 3x state champion from Rossville.
