The Mulvane High School wrestling teams had their final events of the year before the Christmas break. Last Friday, the women's team traveled to Wichita North for the North Invitational. The Wildcats finished in 11th place out of 21 teams with 58 points. Junior Leiannah Landreth remains undefeated this year and finished in 1st place in the 120 lb weight class with 4 wins by fall. Sophomore Makenzie Rogers reached the podium as well and finished in 4th place in the 145 lb weight class with 3 wins by fall.

The men's team traveled to Bishop Carroll on Saturday for the BC Invitational and the Wildcats finished in 10th place with 48.5 points out of 19 teams. The Wildcats had three wrestlers reach the podium as junior Koehn Dietrich finished in 3rd place in the 113 lb weight class with a win by fall and win by decision. Junior Cameron Hagerman finished in 4th place in the 165 lb weight class and Noah West finished in 4th place in the 190 lb weight class.

The JV teams traveled to Rose Hill on Saturday and the Wildcats had 6 wrestlers finish in the top 3 of their weight classes. Kolton Whisler finished in 3rd place in the 106A class, Quincy Walker finished in 2nd place in the 120A weight class, Ethan Magill finished in 3rd place in the 138B weight class, Cole Zimmerman grabbed 1st place in the 144C weight class, Brett Egan finished in 2nd place in the 150A weight class, and Bailey Thompson finished in 2nd place in the 170 lb weight class.
