The Mulvane Middle School Cross Country team traveled to the Hargis Creek Watershed for the Wellington Invitational on Tuesday, September 26th. The Wildcats medaled 12 at the meet in the 4 races. The 8th-grade boys had 2 medalists as Robbie Rico finished in 4th place with a time of 13:40.46 and Colby Billingslea finished in 10th place with a time of 14:34.51 in the 2-mile run. The 8th-grade girls finished with 6 medalists in the 2-mile run as Kaitlyn Paul grabbed 4th place with a time of 14:55.49, Peyton Bartel finished in 9th place with a time of 16:04.82, Penelope Abrams finished in 11th place with a time of 17:00.43, Emily Franklin finished in 15th place with a time of 18:47.41, Gloria Westhoff finished in 18th place with a time of 18:59.25, and Lynlee Walker finished in 23rd place with a time of 20:57.66.
The 7th-grade boys had 2 individual medalists in the 1-mile run as Taydin Walker took 2nd place with a time of 6:00.10 and James Blauser finished in 17th place with a time of 6:41.75. The 7th-grade girls had 2 medalists in the 1-mile run as Eloise Baerg finished in 9th place with a time of 7:16.06 and Johanna Hutchinson finished in 18th place with a time of 7:45.22.
