The Mulvane High School and Middle School cross country teams opened up their 2023 season at the Clearwater Invitational on Thursday, August 31st. The Wildcats had 3 runners earn a medal in the meet. The 2-mile races were split between Sr/Jr and So/Fr and the medalists for the boys were Jonah LaRue who finished in 20th place with a time of 13:24.41, Ethan Hankins who finished in 5th place with a time of 11:53.44, and Jonathan Wilson who finished in 7th place with a time of 12:11.45.
The Sr/Jr girls had one Wildcat, Anna Stahl who finished in 36th place with a time of 18:19.70. The So/Fr girls were led by Isabella Landwehr who finished in 32th place with a time of 17:08.92.

The Mulvane Middle School finished with 6 medalists. Robbie Rico finished in 4th place in the 8th boys 2-mile run with a time of 13:10.83. Kaitlyn Paul finished in 4th place in the 8th girls 2-mile run with a time of 15:25.20, Peyton Bartel finished in 10th place with a time of 16:11.13, and Penelope Abrams finished in 24th place with a time of 17:56.03.
The 7th grade races were 1 mile and Taydin Walker finished in 19th place with a time of 6:40.84 and Eloise Baerg finished in 12th place with a time of 7:31.80.
