The Mulvane Middle School Track & Field team traveled to Mulvane for the Mulvane Invitational on Thursday, April 27th, and the Wildcats finished with 6 first-place finishes, 4 second-place finishes, and 15 third-place finishes. Ethan Hankins finished in 1st place in the 3200-meter run with a time of 10:55.11 and set a new MMS 8th boys school record, topping the 2010 record of 11:06.32 by Kyle Spotts. Cole Zimmerman finished in 1st place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.96. Blake Ferraro finished in 1st place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.66. Blake Ferraro finished in 1st place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.66. Haylynn Jones finished in 1st place in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.32. Haylynn Jones finished on top in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 32.90.
Cole Zimmerman finished in 2nd place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:17.75. Tavion Richardson grabbed the silver in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.20. Rachael Langholz, Abby Hougland, Sierra Schmitz, and Blake Ferraro finished in 2nd place in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 56.46. Addyson Clinesmith grabbed the silver in the long jump with a distance of 12-6.
Grant Cornett finished in 3rd place in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:28.23. Colter Light finished in 3rd place in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 29.54. Landon Myers, Colter Light, Cole Zimmerman, and Kyle Caruthers finished in 3rd place in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:09.77. Evan Grove finished in 3rd place in the 1600-meter medley with a time of 4:29.35. Tavion Richardson finished in 3rd place in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 31.11. Lawrence Hendrix, Kole Schwanke, Tavion Richardson, and Tysen Rhodes finished in 3rd place in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 57.12. Fenton Smith, Bryce Adams, Tysen Rhodes, and Howard Dine finished in 3rd place in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:28.03.
Brock Garnica finished in 3rd place in the shot put with a distance of 31-3. Rachael Langholz grabbed the bronze in the 200-meter dash with a time of 29.49. Sierra Schmitz grabbed the bronze in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:08.24. Kaitlyn Paul finished in 3rd place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:48.74. Kaitlyn Paul finished in 3rd place in the 200-meter hurdles with a time of 36.26. Gracie Warner, Keileigh Burke, Addilyn Williams, and Addison Clinesmith finished in 3rd place in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 59.97. Luci Swart, Maddy Murray, Penelope Abrams, and Addilyn Williams finished in 3rd place in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 5:09.58. Haylynn Jones grabbed the bronze in the long jump with a distance of 12-2.
